Honorable mention from Creatin Contest and -Post by Bronners on their Facebook page

So I received an honorable mention in the Creatin Contest at Miniatures.com. And Lori from Bronner's media relations posted about it on their Facebook page!

Lynn A. Lawitzke via Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland

This was posted on Bronner's page! Thank you to the Bronner's and Lori ( their media relations person) for their interest and the response I have received from them about my little project. I have many great memories of visiting their store over the years and had a wonderful time creating this miniature.

Our friend Lynn Lawitzke received an honorable mention award in the 2012 Creatin' Contest by miniatures.com and Hobby Builders Supply. Lynn built a CHRISTmas Wonderland designed to resemble Bronner's. We are honored that Lynn modeled her entry after our store. You can view Lynn's entry by clicking on the honorable mentions section and scrolling through the photos to four pictures of her CHRISTmas Wonderland. Congratulations, Lynn!

Delightful Inspiration card challenge

Designed2Delight is now Delightful Inspiration-From the Heart, but the challenge is still the same! Rules are posted on the blog, but it's pretty simple. Use the image of the month ( you will have to purchase it if you are just starting), post it to their site by the deadline and get the next image for free!

This is the first time I have done any paper piecing for a card:

Image is called cupcake line up.

I haven't been making many cards lately, not feeling very motivated right now.

I did get a pack of things and a letter together to send to my kids I sponsor through Compassion International :

This is Kingsley, he's 7 and lives in Ghana

This is Nelly, she is 8 and also lives in Ghana

I am pretty new to the sponsorship experience and am anxiously awaiting letters from them!

There will be a new sponsor every month with images for Christmas cards- never to early to get a head start on Christmas cards!

Card Challenges

Got a couple cards done for challenges for the month.

I really enjoyed coloring this image!

I have one to post for Lady Anne's challenge also when it opens on the 19th

Finally catching up from spending Christmas up north. It has been a couple busy and stressful weeks at work. Have a couple challenges I want to enter, so have to get some cards made. Maybe tomorrow!

Finally some time to get some cards done!

I finally got some time to make a few cards for Operation Write Home even though I have not yet made out my personal Christmas cards!

This one is for the Our Daily Bread Design Challenge for December to include flowers on the card:

And then for last weeks mid week love/hugs throwdown:

This weeks mid week throwdown- thinking of you :

And last but not least for Designed2Delights November challenge using her stamp Balloon Bouquet:

Now just have to finish off some more valentines/ love cards, get my personal cards done and think about packing for the trip up to Michigan next week. I'll have to dig up some winter clothes since I have not been back there in the cold weather since I came to Florida almost 8 years ago.

New Cards

Finally got some cards done this week, have not been feeling too creative this week.
Started getting out Christmas decorations the last couple days, just have to decorate the trees.

Here is a card using last weeks OWH template 147:

And one for this weeks mid week throwdown at OWH:

Hopefully will get a few more done tomorrow and Saturday
